Jacob's Ladder Center

school / in-home placements

Many families choose Jacob's Ladder as a full-time school placement. We are an SAIS-SACS accredited, SB-10 approved school, serving students Pre-K through grade 12, offering different instructional settings to suit students' different learning needs. One-on-one instruction, transition groups, and Group Schools are available in three schedules: 9:00-1:00, 9:00-3:00 and 1:00-5:00. Students may also receive in-home services or a home schooling program.

Our team of evaluators and professionals will recommend the most beneficial combination of additional therapeutic services. See additional services.

Jacob's Ladder Full-Time School

The Jacob's Ladder Neurodevelopmental School (Intensive) placement delivers a custom program taught in a one-on-one setting with a caring teacher. SB-10 approved.  (Program design is reflective of the findings of the neurodevelopmental evaluation.) Option A: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Option B: 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m. Option C: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Our Transition Groups can be incorporated into the full-time school day as an adjunct, serving to provide the first step towards acclimating the child to the small group experience.

The Jacob's Ladder Group Schools

Jacob's Ladder doesn't put the student into a program. We build a program to meet a student's needs.

Many of our students are best served through our intensive one-on-one instructional model. As students learn and grow, they are offered opportunities to participate in selected Group School activities towards acclimating them to the Group School experience. This blended approach enables the student to gain the foundational skills needed to succeed across all four learning domains prior to total integration into the group.

The Jacob's Ladder Group Schools (Elementary, Middle or High) serve up to 8 students at a 3:1 ratio, with additional support as needed. This school is a transitional step for students graduating from the one-on-one setting. This group instruction encompasses all core subjects, while incorporating the Jacob's Ladder philosophy and methodology.

In-Home Program Implementation

For those families who prefer an in-home education, we also offer In-Home Program Implementation provided in the comfort of the child's home on an hourly basis by a Jacob's Ladder teacher or therapist.

The Home Schooling Option

Based on the findings from the initial evaluation, a custom academic program is designed, addressing all core academic areas in conjunction with daily Neurodevelopmental interventions that specifically address learning challenges. This program is implemented by the parent with the training and support of the Jacob's Ladder staff.
